Experience/Skills Required:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of federal and state employment law and equal employment guidelines and policies including the principles and practices of talent acquisition administration including methods and techniques used in recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, and training
  • Demonstrate knowledge of core capabilities/competencies approach to talent acquisition for recruitment covering both domestic and global
  • Business acumen to elicit trust and credibility with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate intermediate talent acquisition experience in handling challenging human resource/recruitment issues in a diverse and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of intermediate human resources functions such as compensation, benefits, employee/labor relations, training and development
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt to a variety of human resources issues with successful outcomes and demonstrate openness to new ideas and approaches
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of a diverse work environment and have demonstrated initiatives for recruiting for diversity
  • Demonstrate expertise to conduct innovative sourcing and prescreening activities and related assessment tools in the recruitment of service and operations management
  • Demonstrate expertise of research methods and report preparation
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment and successful stress tolerance
  • Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Virtual Edge preferred)
  • Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software)
  • Demonstrate ability to act independently upon information and make decisions that achieve optimal results
  • Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion
Job Duties:
  • Lead the sourcing, assessing and hiring of high caliber candidates as quickly and as cost effectively as possible. Continuously improve the quality of recruiting processes to ensure they are simple, effective, repeatable, scalable, and integrated with HRIS and financial systems
  • Manage recruiting resources and develop team members to continuously improve service levels. Success will be measured by improving and tracking key metrics including time-to-fill and recruiting function cost effectiveness
  • Provide hands-on, full-cycle recruitment for assigned requisitions
  • Develop and oversee vendor policies and programs to create successful partnerships, which provide a variety of recruiting services i.e. sourcing, assessments, and candidate searches
  • Manage the identification, evaluation, selection and contracting of these resources ensuring relationships that provide cost effective services as a value-added business partner
  • Partner with HR team members in all areas pertaining to the attraction and retention of highly skilled employees e.g. total rewards, relocation, internal transfer, new hire orientation and assimilation, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development
  • Create and manage company-wide recruiting policies, procedures, and systems that map to company values and support ADTRAN as an equal opportunity employer including its commitment to diversity
  • Responsible for maintaining reporting and compliance systems related to recruiting and staffing activities and leading Company resources to government compliance requirements including OFCCP and EEO audits
  • Act as a business partner with hiring managers to develop effective and efficient recruitment and sourcing strategies that result in client satisfaction
  • Meet with hiring managers to gain full understanding of job specifications of job specifications, modifies existing job descriptions, develops appropriate marketing strategy, defines roles and responsibilities of hiring team and develops service level agreements
  • Develop and implements college relations initiatives including internships and direct hire programs
  • Implements sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of available candidates in anticipating hiring needs
  • Prescreen sourced candidates and presents to hiring managers
  • Research competitors and stays abreast of the current market trends
  • Consistently focus recruiting efforts to meet diversity goals to create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity and competitive advantage
  • Manage the hiring cycle to ensure all parts are operating optimally to deliver a great hiring experience to all candidates and hiring teams
  • Experience in college recruiting for direct hire and internship programs desirable
  • Previous experience in capturing metrics and producing various employment reports
  • Proven experience in developing and recommending recruitment plans for current and future hiring needs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Seven or more years of direct recruiting experience in a corporate environment
