RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSNETIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Leadership - Setting goals for the work group, developing organizational capability, and modeling how we work together:
. Communicates architectural design strategy and direction. Ensures clear understanding of strategy, priorities and business impact to the team. Provides clear, effective and timely communication of architectural design direction and changes. Effectively addresses exceptions and troubleshoots where needed.
. Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the immediate team of direct reports promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results.
. Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company
Planning and Execution - Developing strategic and operational plans for the work group, managing execution, and measuring results:
. Establish architectural design direction. Communicate Concept Design business goals and ensure successful execution. Provide clear direction on target deliverables and communicate changes in priorities. Lead communication on best practices across business units.
. Responsible for completion of development drawings and design solutions by design team on a project basis.
Business Requirements - Providing functional expertise and executing functional responsibilities:
. Ensures compliance of architectural standards. Review and approve all design work and effectively provide feedback.
. Provide direction and resolve conflicts in partnership with Managers of design and other cross functional business units as needed.
. Manages relationships with consultants to ensure compliance of service standards.
. Stays abreast on trends in the field and developing design markets.
. Provides resources needed for Concept Design teams to meet schedules. Review schedule and work flow to anticipate needs. Prioritize work effectively and gain alignment with other business units to support Concept Team. Communicate resource short falls to VP in a timely manner.
. Identify necessary tools and training for teams
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
Summary of Experience : . Retail, Hospitality and/or Restaurant Design Experience: 8-10 years
. Managing a design group in a design environment: 5 years
. Collaboration with industrial, graphic design and environmental disciplines: 8 years
. AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation and 3D rendering programs: 5 years
. Project management experience leading large-scale design projects in a multi-unit environment: 3 years• LEED certified and experie3nce with sustainable building (Preferred) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
. BS architecture or interior design
. Current knowledge if industry trends in retail store and restaurant design
. Current working knowledge of building and health codes and compliance issues
. Demonstrated 3D visualization ability and working knowledge of color and design principles
. Ability to execute multiple designs under tight deadlines
. Skilled in visual, written and verbal communication of design issues
. Ability to translate stated design principles/objectives into unique and varied restaurant locations
