FMC Green River, WY is hiring a Production Crew Coordinator to coordinate 7-23 hourly staff who bulk package chemicals for rail, transload, super sack (750-2,500 #) and 50# sack. Team members operate and maintain bulk packaging equipment, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, rail car movers, locomotives, and package bulk chemicals.
  • May also coordinate 2-20 hourly staff who maintain and operate chemical manufacturing equipment (semi-automated and automated; milling, screening, pumps and piping, evaporator, centrifuge, crushers, coal mills, boilers, mud separator, calciner, filtration, conveyors, etc.)
  • Responsible for the safety and training of the crew, enforcing policies and procedures, setting standards and holding team and individual employees accountable for standards adherence, maintaining plant environmental compliance.
  • Schedule may include rotating shifts including weekends; 5-7 consecutive 8- hour days with 2-4 consecutive days off; or 3-4 days (12-hour shifts).
Our Green River, Wyoming plant is the world’s largest trona mine and producer of natural soda ash. Manufacturing a variety of products (soda ash, sodium bicarbonate, sodium hydroxide) for food and pharmaceutical, glass, environmental, household products, mining, oil & gas, and more.

Responsibilities:
  • Acts as crew fire captain
  • Administrative responsibilities (Time cards, OT, vacation approval)
  • Answer grievances
  • Assist crew in monitoring process samples
  • Assist with monitoring job training evaluation
  • Compile and implement crew safety action plan
  • Conflict resolution
  • Coordinate with maintenance regarding scheduling
  • Environmental compliance
  • Facilitate team communication
  • Identify cost savings, efficiency improvement projects
  • Interact with other coordinators to facilitate site-wide operating decisions
  • Monitor equipment and write appropriate work orders
  • On-scene incident command
  • Oversee operational efficiency and rates
  • Oversee short interval controls
  • Participate in shift hand-off meeting
  • Perform administrative tasks (time cards, OT, vacation approval)

Required Education:

Grade 19 Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED and one year line, industrial supervisory experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 3 years of plant operating experience
  • Supervisoray experience preferred
  • D emostrated leadership skills
Grade 20 Requirements
  • B.S. in Engineering/Chemistry OR
  • High school diploma or GED and one year line, industrial supervisory experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 5 years of plant operating experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
