Establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of Montana Health Care Programs Policy and billing procedures.
Establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of the MMIS claims processing system.
Keep informed of all changes to the system and Montana Health Care Programs policy.
Respond to telephone inquiries in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner following standard procedures.
Gather information from the caller to properly resolve and document the situation.
Communicates appropriate options for resolution.
Investigates and attempts to resolve issues and may forward more complex scenarios to senior level staff.
Enroll new providers with Montana Health Care Programs
Complete provider file updates and maintenance
Perform tasks and projects assigned by the Provider Relations Manager
Uses a computerized system to gather information, research/resolve inquires and log customer calls.
Uses specialized software to capture document images, route and identify appropriately for retrieval
Other duties as assigned
High school or higher degree
Considerable client and end-user interface by phone and good verbal communication skills
Above average computer skills
Creative problem solving skills
Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time sensitive deadlines
Good organizational skills
Commitment to quality
Ability to work independently, but as part of a team concept
