seeking an IT Manager who possesses significant hands-on experience architecting, building, and managing IT infrastructure. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems and network design and be able to provide project leadership and develop solutions to improve the environment and enhance service reliability in a fast paced high growth environment. Ideal candidates must have excellent communication skills as well as a comprehensive understanding of key technology areas.

  • Infrastructure system design, installation and maintenance of hardware products, installation and maintenance of operating systems, enterprise-wide implementation of new system management, monitoring and planning tools/processes, fundamentals of security, installing third party software, back up configuration and restoration of files, system patches, security updates and system upgrades.
  • Leverage existing management systems to improve efficiency of incident resolution.
  • Provide project leadership and develop solutions based on the principles of redundancy, data integrity, security and recoverability.
  • Evaluate new hardware and software technologies, and presents analysis and purchase recommendations to management team by staying up to date with relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
  • Produce documentation for use in configuration, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, software and network operating systems.
  • Implement and troubleshoot redundant application solutions using the LAMP architecture with mandatory expertise in PHP, Apache, and MySQL.
  • Manage service contracts, work with outside vendors on service and maintenance, and determine service requirements by analyzing needs of users and departments.
  • Provision hardware and software requests for new and current employees.
  • Manage helpdesk resources and respond to internal requests promptly and professionally.
  • A BS degree in Information Systems or equivalent and 5+ years of experience in IT and production Internet environments and/or working in and managing a data center.
  • Thorough knowledge of IT environments, technologies, system hosting infrastructure and platforms
  • MSCE, CCNA/CCNP, VCP, RHCSA/RHCE strongly preferred (at least one)
  • Demonstrated experience with the following technologies:
    • All aspects of administration for the MS Windows Operating Systems including installation, management, application deployment, and security
    • MS SQL Server and Exchange Server and administration
    • VMWare VCenter design/support, including HA clustering, VDR, DRS;
    • Storage Area Network (SAN) design/support;
    • Expert knowledge of TCP/IP network design/support including Cisco and SonicWall equipment; LAN and WLAN networks, advanced knowledge of routing and subnetting
    • Expert knowledge of common Linux distributions such as CentOS, Fedora, Ubuntu
    • MS Lync server design and support and Sharepoint adminstration
    • Extensive software experience with IPTABLES, Apache, PHP, Tomcat, Sendmail/Postfix, LDAP, BIND
    • Experience in task automation using scripting (Perl, Shell)
    • Advanced experience in design and implementation of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions, advanced knowledge of BackupExec 12.5
    • ShoreTel VOIP phone system support
    • Atlassian Confluence maintenance and support
    • Expert knowledge of SonicWall Firewalls
    • Experience with VPN technologies (OpenVPN, Sonicwall site-to site VPN)
    • Experience with server hardware and RAID arrays Client server experience desirable
    • Skilled at working in a highly visible, fast paced environment, with minimal supervision
    • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and be a self-starter who can manage his/her own schedule
    • Must be available off hours as needed to handle issues that arise in a 24/7 data center environment
