To provide exceptional service of food and/or beverage to include the order-taking and delivery of any food and/or beverage items. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner resulting in a very high level of guest satisfaction.
Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
Greet the guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain any special and/or restaurant promotions for guest awareness.
Record the details of the order from the guests, reading the order to the guest to check for accuracy.
Input the order into the Micros computer to inform the kitchen of the particulars in the order being processed.
Retrieve cocktails or draft beers from the bar or prepare beverages according to SOP and serve to guests. Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests. Be present at table and assist food runner when delivering food.
Replenish beverages as necessary and check with guests for overall satisfaction.
Ascertain guest satisfaction and present and process check per hotel procedures.
The ideal candidate for this position:
Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and is able to work outside the comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive
Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
Must be a team player with the ability to multi task
Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress within the luxury market
Cocktail making skills is desirable
Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance
Previous experience in a similar role in a 4/5 star hotel would be advantageous
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
