Project-based/ Temp Ecommerce Web Designer

We are looking for an inspiring freelance designer to join our ecommerce design team at West Elm for the holiday season. As a member of this team you will be responsible for improving the company's ability to produce and implement beautiful, pixel perfect experiences across all platforms.

The freelance designer will report to the digital art director and work alongside the creative ecommerce team. The candidate will be responsible for executing designs based on established style guides as well as helping expedite the process for delivering large volumes of emails and site creative. Completes projects by coordinating with merchandising and marketing to meet brand goals.

Skills/Qualifications:
Excellent working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Mac OS X.
2 years of experience in web design-ecommerce.
Capable of slicing and reformatting files for web.
Strong designer - with good understanding of web design and UX.
Strong communication Skills - ability to interface with executives and internal client teams.
A solid understanding of composition, color and contrast.
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple short-timeline projects from brief to completion.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Expert eye for detail and consistency; no detail is too small or insignificant. Able to resourcefully execute large quantities of changes and edits to batches of files.
