advertising sales manager ( Exempt)

Position Objective:
This person is responsible for developing and managing the launch of a new car shopping/buying

platform. This person will report to the Automotive Director and will provide training and

coaching to the Auto Sales team with responsibility for driving the sites sales revenue and


Major Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of the project including project planning, develop pricing and rates, execution, timely delivery, issue tracking, account transition, and communication.

Supervises the sales staff including: recommending for hire, coaching and counseling, recognition, performance appraisal, discipline and termination.

Sets goals, develops plans of action, and takes the initiative to exceed assigned/budgeted department revenue and other sales goals for automotive website.

Educate the Automotive sales team on new products and availability.

Strives to create additional revenue and share by working with the sales staff on up sell opportunities, pursuing new business, adding AdTaxi creative elements and digital opportunities.

Works with sales staff to develop effective creative and artwork related to the website solution.

Works with sales staff to ensure good customer relations by handling all customers’ requests, questions and complaints. Facilitates their resolution through personal action and intervention, and by working with other departments and individuals.

Ensures open communications with, initiates and participates in strategic department planning with department employees, other managers and supervisors and other departments, through meetings and written and oral communications related to the website solution.

Physical Working Conditions:
Office environment: working with a computer

Travel to and meet with individuals

Communicate via email, cell phone, and telephone

College degree or equivalent business experience; degree in advertising or marketing helpful.

Demonstrates positive strong leadership qualities that inspire and motivate the sales team.

Minimum of 3-5 years of previous sales experience with a proven track record of increasing sales performance.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment

Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Must have vehicle and valid driver’s license in order to visit various clients
