Job Description
The Sales & Marketing Web Designer will be responsible for design and construction of sales and marketing web pages/sites including incorporating graphic user interface (GUI) features and other techniques, with the principal objective of creating Branded sites and campaigns that assist in reaching prospect acquisition goals for sales & marketing.
This position must be able to interface with several different divisions and leaders to accomplish this goal, including providing decision makers with un-biased input on design and usability of websites, landing pages, e-mail templates, banner ads, new technology, etc.
Produces designs, and copy layouts for online content when requested. Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, brand standards, and aesthetic design concepts. Maintains and provides ongoing design of the website, promos and ad banners, seasonal content, and other web based communications.
Ensure that all sites and web pages are tagged correctly for monitoring traffic and campaign effectiveness. Translate project requirements into design solutions in line with corporate and product branding and design requirements; coordinates designs and efforts with Creative Resources, National Distribution, I.T. and incorporates into overall marketing or campaign plan and strategy.
Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of the Brand & Creative Resources team, including reporting on the success of design decisions using creative examples and website analytics, communicating with other teams to help define style standards and/or best practices.
Work closely with Product and Project Managers to properly prioritize projects; communicate with internal clients and other members of creative and web teams to maximize creative effectiveness and to attain sales & marketing prospect acquisition goals.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Four year College Degree (BA or BS) or industry experience equivalent required.
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in web design positions.
Attention to quality and detail.
Strong skills in user interface design.
Expert level knowledge of web site design/architecture and its impact on guest experience. HTML 5, Javascript, CSS and mobile considerations. Ability and willingness to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
Very familiar with tools required for mockup, design, and creation of web pages (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, HTML, JAVA, CSS, etc.)
Strong project management and prioritization skills.
