The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Forensic Psychologist at Georgia Regional Hospital/Atlanta.
Job Description:
Performs forensic evaluation of individuals referred by the Criminal Courts, including mental status assessments, psychological testing, assessment of competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility.
Prepares reports to the courts and attorneys, and provides expert testimony.
As needed, provides treatment recommendations, risk assessments and other general consultative services to the Forensic Program
Qualifications
A current Georgia license to practice psychology
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year experience conducting Competency to Stand Trial evaluations
At least one year experience conducting Criminal Responsibility evaluations
Experience providing court testimony
Significant experience in the area of Forensic Psychology
