Description:
VetSuccess.gov is a comprehensive one-stop site for Veteran and Service member employment needs. Veterans can browse job listings, post resumes, and apply for positions directly on the site. Employers can post jobs, view Veteran resumes, and receive job applications. This person will be responsible for providing overall Technical and Customer Support oversight in support of this solution and must possess PHP, MySQL and Redhat Linux experience.

Description:
Technical Support Team Lead. Provide technical support and coordination, will be responsible to understand overall architecture to include: hosting, system architecture, software and overall system configuration.
System Administration. Install patches, monitoring, performance tuning, backup/restores, to include database backups,
Manage technical help desk . Coordinate with client Tier 1 help desk, responsible for troubleshooting issues (network, server architecture, software) and escalating to appropriate support team and coordination until resolution. Capture lessons learned, update internal engineer FAQ, procedures and processes and if applicable publish to end user self-service FAQ or knowledge base.
Application subject matter expert for a Career Services Manager product.
Coordinate with various client organizations to include the Technology Office and Network operations as required.
Manage change requests and if within capabilities implement software changes based upon PHP and MySql or escalate and manage implementation of technical team.

Preferred Experience:
Software Development Life Cycle experience
Understanding of Content Management System and Career Services products a plus.
Proficient in PHP, MySQL, CSS, HTML, Javascript, AJAX, XML and RedHat Linux
Should have a demonstrated skill set in writing, debugging, and performance tuning web services and enterprise web applications
Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
Must have capacity to work independently and also as a part of team
Must have dedication and commitment towards work

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science
5-10 years of enterprise web application development in PHP
2-5 years of MySQL database programming experience (non-DBA)
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret or VA Moderate Clearance required
