Title: Assurance Analyst
Own, develop and maintain an appropriate assurance program, supporting areas like Finance, Operations, HR, Card Association Compliance, Sales, etc.
Develop and implement a KRI/KPI program to continuously assess the performance of risks and controls.
Complement the KRI/KPI program with key control testing using a risk based approach.
Coordinate with Regulatory Risk to ensure that the assurance program covers all Regulatory requirements (KYC, CIP, OFAC, FACTA, etc) and Card Association Requirements.
Own the quarterly Self Certification process for assigned areas providing guidance to senior management as to the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment.
Coordinate remediation efforts across the enterprise for all known issues derived from the assurance program. Assist business lines in identifying root causes, assessing impacts and establishing action plans for risk issues. Also includes providing oversight and challenge on the ongoing management of issues together with validation activities prior to closure.
Own the Risk Acceptance process for all areas. Includes providing advice on potential risk exposures, recommending mitigating controls, ensuring there is a consistent approach and classification, and ensuring there is robust governance with Senior Management acceptance.
Ensure that adequate reporting and escalation to Senior Management is in place at all levels of the risk management cycle.
Create various quarterly executive meeting reports and act as the centralize contact for all activities involved in the monthly executive meetings.
Ad hoc projects as assigned by manager.
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters Degree preferred
3+ years of work experience in Audit or other relevant Audit experience
Sound knowledge of risk management principles and regulatory compliance requirements with ability to apply risk concepts into practical assurance testing
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities under minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. Project Management skills required
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team and with colleagues from all business lines
Demonstrated experience in escalating issues through the appropriate levels of senior management
Demonstrated ability in dealing with challenging situations, navigating disagreement, and negotiation at all levels in the organization
Financial, SOX or Accounting background preferred
Flexibility to work as necessary, to meet aggressive deadlines.
