CTS works with our Line of Business partners to develop standardized, resilient operating environments and implement a global technology strategy for the firm's 200,000+ workstations and 40,000+ remote access users. We oversee important tasks, including: incident management, user management, security access and controls, work order management, media management, application and business data recovery, and disaster recovery. Application hosting infrastructure at JPMC is extremely large and complex involving many thousands of servers and global 24x7 presence & uptime requirements. The selected candidate will join a team of experienced engineers and architects and will be called upon to influence in the creation of out-of-the-box, next generation solutions. In this role, the engineer will be called upon to devise strategic offerings covering a wide area of technologies, most notably Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp product lines and the associated ecosystem. Besides thorough hands-on product knowledge, the engineer will be assisting in the development of automated solutions. The successful individual will be a problem solver engaged in finding solutions to enterprise wide issues and will be required to work with cross functional teams both internally and with outside vendors. The individual in this role will need to be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the servers and providing application analysis / utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed The preferred candidate is experienced in multiple platforms and can complete assigned duties with minimal direction from management. The candidate will routinely act independently while researching and developing solutions to a new, site-wide rollout.
REQUIRED: Minimum 10+ years experience Citrix XenApp Minimum 5-10+ years experience Citrix XenApp 5.0 and 6.5 Minimum 2+ years experience Citrix Xendesktop Thorough knowledge of remote access solutions and associated data security designs Strong Technical knowledge of Windows 2003/2008, Windows XP, Windows 7, Active Directory Working knowledge of application deployment process and functional network troubleshooting Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines Provide escalated, highly complex technical support to customers by investigating and resolving systems-related matters of significance; provides support telephonically and/or electronically. Experience developing training tools and documentation; oversees implementation of same Strong communication skills to communicate systems proposals to management and customers and provide systems diagnoses and resolution for current systems Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior level personnel, subordinates, and team members Good leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel Ability to work independently and as part of a global team HIGHLY DESIRED: VMware experience, specifically with virtualization of enterprise environments Citrix Virtualization Experience Citrix Edge Sight CCEA (Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator) CCA (Citrix Certified Administrator) Xendesktop or Xenapp Scripting & automation experience; must be proficient in the use of Power Shell.
