Description

The Inventory Planning Analyst assists in managing the parts inventory and parts forecasting. This position assists with strategic inventory management projects and will work closely with the Parts Inventory Manager to ensure goals are being maintained.

Essential duties and responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Identify and respond to inventory planning needs for dealer, customer, and future markets.

This will include reviewing inventory replenishment models (i.e. min/max, forecasting) by directing work of inventory control coordinators.

Plan and manage inventories relating to new product releases as well as reviewing end of model life stocking decisions, ensuring adequate inventory levels within the dealer organization based on customer care expectations.

Collaborate with segment leadership to identify shared inventories and review opportunities to eliminate duplicate inventory levels to improve overall Return On Capital Expenses (ROCE).

Manage and report strategic inventories for specialty markets such as Terrain Leveler support at a mine site, Maxi-Rig support on a job site, Grinder support at Utility site as well as other strategic markets that demand/expect a different level of support structure for their inventory needs (generally operations that are utilizing our equipment 20 plus hours per day).

This may include inventory support at the dealer and customer level

Provide analytical support to the operations and lifecycle planning process.

Prepare quantifiable data and reports that reflect not only inventory levels, but also depict inventory turns, economic order quantities, returns / non-returnable inventories, obosoletes, and other measureables.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with at least 3 years experience managing inventory and inventory systems.

Or an Associate’s Degree with at least 5 years inventory management experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to provide dealers with high level of service.

·

In-depth knowledge of inventory management.

Inventory Management Certification preferred
