The Office Assistant 2, under general supervision from the Office of Undergraduate Education Principal Assistant, performs a variety of routine clerical duties in support of the Office of Undergraduate Education. The incumbent serves as the receptionist for the Office of Undergraduate Education by fielding all incoming telephone calls and scheduling appointments. In addition, the Office Assistant 2 receives and refers visitors; follows established guidelines, rules, policies and procedures in providing information to clients; reviews, develops and maintains accurate records, correspondence and files; maintains established database and filing systems; provides general information on Office of Undergraduate Education policies and services; processes documents; extracts and compiles data for reports; and assists with special projects as requested.

High School graduation or equivalent and one year of clerical experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Experience working in a research setting.
Experience serving as a primary point-of-contact in an office environment.
Experience working in a higher education environment.
Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional skills including web site design and social media communication.
