AUTOMATION GROUP HR MANAGER
TALENT DEVELOPMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
SUMMARY
  • Drive organizational effectiveness and overall
development processes and programs. The core areas
of accountability include leadership development,
management of the organizational capability
assessment process, change management, career
development process, the performance management
process and the talent review process. Additionally,
this position will have HR leadership responsibility
for a U.S. division.
  • Provides leadership and generalist expertise in
several human resource areas as required. Provides
support to the Group staff with direct support to
the Group HR VP. Will represent the Group at
meetings that influence business strategies (e.g.,
talent development, succession planning, performance
management, strategy deployment,
mergers/acquisitions, organization redesigns, etc.)
Responsible for the strategic staffing of Group
leadership positions. Proposes and initiates
specialized projects and implements programs
requiring a thorough understanding of human
resources processes and their strategic impact on
the business. Functions as a strategic business
partner with Group and division leadership to assess
and implement human resources plans that support the
Group and Corporate strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the overall management of the
organizational capability assessment process.
  • Responsible for extensive organization analytical
work, drawing conclusions and making proactive
recommendations relative to organization design and
effectiveness and compiling, analyzing and
development actions relative to the overall Group
business strategy.
  • Works with the various leadership teams within the
organization to ensure the process is effective and
efficient.
  • Talent management is a key part of the overall
process, including assessing and providing input
about talent moves and candidacy, providing high
quality development opportunities and development
plans for managers, and providing support for the
talent review processes as appropriate.
  • Provide consulting services within the Group in the
areas of organization design, coaching, 360 degree
processes, training and development and
organizational development.
  • Responsible for leading a world class talent
development process that drives the “right people in
the right jobs”. Must focus on the appropriate mix
of global talent, skills / competencies and
diversity. Duties will include leading the talent
development process for the Group. This will ensure
critical Group initiatives are resourced
effectively.
  • Champions and manages the implementation and
continuous improvement of the Group’s Strategy
Deployment, Performance Management and Talent
programs. Consults with divisions, other groups and
corporate staff to develop and implement talent
identification processes / succession plans and
other career development initiatives.
  • Will be a key leader in delivering the Human
Resource portion of Parker’s Operating Protocol.
Responsible for facilitating various organizational
redesigns at the Group, division and functional
levels. Provides input and guidance on
organizational restructuring where required.
  • Act as the HR leader for mergers and acquisitions.
Performs due diligence activities and formulates
acquisition integration activities.
  • Responsible for Group implementation of corporate
compensation management programs, strategy and
evaluating effectiveness. Will ensure pay practices
are competitive and within legal compliance.
Coordinates compensation strategies with the
Corporate Compensation Leader. Identifies positions
for periodic studies and guides staff in evaluating
compensation and classification decisions. Advises
and educates group and divisional staff on timely
compensation and performance management linkage as
well as for budgetary processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7 to 10 years of Organizational Development and/or
HR Generalist experience involving proven success in
leadership development, organizational effectiveness
experience including organization analytics, large
program management, succession planning, training
needs assessment, executive coaching experience,
exposure to progressive selection and assessment
techniques, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication and project
management skills are required. Must be able to
influence without direct authority through building
effective partnerships throughout the Group. The
successful incumbent will establish a client-service
orientation to the divisions and maintain an
appropriate level of influence.
  • The ability to utilize technology is important due
to high level analytical and communication
requirements of the position (creativity in
conceptualizing messages and ensuring executive
level quality).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required,
including the ability to facilitate large groups of
people at all levels of the organization.
  • An optimistic, solutions oriented, accountable
leadership style balanced with a practical approach
is critical. This position is vital to the success
of the HR leadership team.
  • Travel for this position is approximately 30%. Some
international travel is required.
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, with a strong
preference for a Master’s Degree in Organizational
Development, Organizational Effectiveness or an MBA
with a Human Resource concentration.
