This is an exciting opportunity to join the ADP TotalSource Product Development organization responsible for delivering the flagship application, MyTotalSource, for ADP's Professional Employer Organization (PEO). The application development job family is responsible for developing software applications solutions for ADP’s external and internal clients. Application developers may be involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC). Application developer’s work with clients, product managers analysts, architects and engineers to plan, design, develop, test and implement information technology solutions consistent with the business objective. Application Developers may develop and review requirements, create design documents, write programs, package, test, configure and deploy software. Application developers also participate and collaborate with other stakeholder including security, quality assurance, training, project management, engineering, hosting, & procurement when required to assist in other aspects of their projects. Application Developers at ADP are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.
Experience, Skills, Academic:
Technical Skills: Required Technologies: Enterprise EV4 development , C, C++, PL/SQL,UNIX(AIX). Tools: Ebuilder (EV4 Development), TOAD(Quest software), SQR(Brio Technology). Database Experience: Usage of SQL *PLUS, PL/SQL to write database programs. SOA, ERP Integration with PeopleSoft and/or SAP, any web experience is a plus. Process Skills: 8+ years of software engineering/development experience, specifically at least 5 years of experience in design and development of Enterprise(Ev4) applications. Experience with the complete software development lifecycle; experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, XP) is a plus. Experience with test driven development (TDD), continuous integration is a plus. Other Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to author technical and application design and issue documents, conduct technical and application presentations to technical and non-technical staff. Knowledge and/or experience with HRIS, and the HR domain a plus. Experience collaborating with Senior Technical Staff.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering (or related field).
