Manage Test Security investigations and official score reviews, and assist with other investigations and projects as assigned. Provide Test Security advice as needed.
Typical work-related activities include:
Plan and manage Test Security investigations, including compiling and documenting evidence and identifying aberrant trends in data, and processing score cancellations.
Exercise independent judgment in determining the need for forensic expert review and communicate directly with experts concerning the forensic review.
Exercise independent judgment in determining whether an individual score review should be opened and prepare written communications to examinees and official score recipients concerning scores.
As a member of a standard investigative team, collaboratively manage score review files and the various stages of the score review process, including arranging retests and panel review.
As a member of a modular investigative team for non-standard investigations, assist with developing investigative plans, compiling evidence, conducting interviews, and analyzing data.
Independently identify and analyze concerning trends, unusual case facts, program risks, and threats for further research and analysis.
Schedule, assign and monitor timelines and workflow for assigned investigations.
Monitor and process requests for exception to the ACT 12-test limit policy.
Maintain and regularly report key metrics to assist Test Security in efficiently and effectively investigating and resolving test security breaches and in managing workflow.
Identify additional means to prevent or deter test security breaches and recommend changes to existing policies, procedures, audit capabilities, and investigation tools.
Identify possible process improvement opportunities; participate on project teams as assigned (may include leading these teams) as they research and analyze process improvement solutions; lead or
participate in implementing process improvements according to Test Security priorities and within scheduled timelines and budgets.
Develop goals and objectives for project plans and process improvement efforts as assigned.
Maintain quality and security control on all assigned projects and investigations.
Ensure compliance with legal standards, contractual representations, and ACT policies.
Coordinate with other areas regarding projects and investigations.
Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in making work-related decisions.
Communicate effectively and efficiently, verbally and in writing, with ACT staff, examinees, clients, and third parties.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding corporate information.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree required; preference given to candidates with some background in computer science, mathematics, accounting, law, or statistics;
4 – 6 years of related experience; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities has been acquired.
