A-dec is searching for a an experienced Building Maintenance worker to join our Property Services team.

As the first of three levels of Building Maintenance, this position performs routine service on heating and air conditioning systems, air compressors, vacuum systems, plumbing, lighting, and assists in grounds maintenance as requested.

Provides routine maintenance to the HVAC systems, air compressors, air dryers, vacuum systems and lighting. Also installs and maintains water, vacuum, and air lines.

Conducts general plant walk-throughs, fixing or reporting any problems, performs miscellaneous painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical projects, and assists with landscaping and grounds maintenance as requested.

Responds to general maintenance requests throughout the facilities and maintains a clean work environment.

Maintains acceptable dependability level and must not pose a risk to self or others.

Job Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to perform general building maintenance, carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc. This is typically equivalent to two year’s related experience.

Ability to maintain and perform minor repairs to the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment.

Demonstrated ability to perform scheduled service and make minor repairs to air compressors, air dryers, and vacuum pumps.

Demonstrated skill in the proper use of both hand and power tools such as hand saws, pipe cutters, table saw, and radial arm saw, and skilled in the proper soldering of copper pipe and gluing of plastic pipe.

Must possess or obtain a Medic First Aide card within one year and must either hold HazMat certification or become certified within the first year of employment. All required licensure must be maintained and kept up to date.

Drug Screening and Background Check required.
