The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking candidates for a Senior Business Application Software Engineer. This position provides highly technical support for Oracle E-Business Suite and multiple financial systems in the areas of systems analysis, database design, testing, and implementation for successful completion and operations. Develop business software solutions. Maintan functional and technical expertise in software engineering and business applications. Participates and leads in upgrades and maintenance of application software. Mentors and directs work of more junior personnel.
Consult with vendors, requestors, and users of information applications incorporating client-server, distributed applications, non-distibuted applications, real-time systems, and associated technologies that may be integrated to provide solutions at the project, program and enterprise-wide level.
Participate in and lead improvement teams and other technical initiatives. Develop, communicate, and maintain detailed work plans and schedules to ensure high quality products are delivered in a defined/agreed time frame - ensure documented requirements, change management and other IT best business practices for all endevours undertaken. Plans and schedules must be adequately comprehensive to allow clear understanding of tasks and milestones.
Bachelor's degree plus 7 years relevant experience, or Advanced Degree plus 5 years relevant experience in Information Management.
Ability to be a strong team player and effectively organize and lead tasks. Organizational skills are essential. The ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences is essential. Must be able to effectively execute from concept to operational implementation.
Proven experience and knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite.
Proven experience in delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
Proven experience in developing applications in SharePoint.
E xcellent customer communication skills, senior mentoring skills, and results-oriented management.
Sound judgment and decision-making is a constant requirement to achieve results.
Must be able to prioritize activities and resolve complex resource and budget problems.
Must be self-motivated and able to take the lead for timely resolution of issues.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOE "L" Clearance.
