The Washington DC office of Finnegan, one of the world's leading and largest intellectual property law firms, is seeking a human resources clerk to join our dynamic human resources team. This position will provide overall support to the human resources department.
Responsibilities include assisting the Human Resources team with general administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, auditing, creating and copying personnel/benefits files; maintaining personnel and benefits file room; copying and packaging informational material; basic database entry; employment verifications; intranet maintenance; responding to employee inquiries; assisting with new hire orientation and building tours; social events assistance, and special projects assistance such as online research, employee survey administration, and preparing communications and presentations, as well as other duties as assigned.
Successful candidates will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, initiative, and possess the ability to deal courteously and efficiently with attorneys and support staff. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word Office applications is required. Prior experience utilizing databases, webpage maintenance, and HRIS systems preferred. High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred. Prior experience in a fast-paced, high volume environment. The candidate must work well independently and in a team environment, while dealing with frequent deadlines and multiple priorities.
