Primary Duties/ Reponsibilities:
Provide direct supervision for personnel. Participate in decisions involving hiring, promotion, wage/salary change and termination of employment.

Ensure department and employees are operating within all Chesapeake, state, federal, etc. guidelines, policies, and regulations.

Responsible for the review and issuance of financial records/data of the company.

Provide on-the-job training, performance assessment, coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. Effectively plan and manage the organization and utilization of people and technology.

Provide employees with guidance in handling policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.

Review, approve, and/or maintain departmental administrative records and reports such as: timecards, vacation requests, status changes, and expense reports


Minimum Requirements:
Proficient with accounting standards for area of responsibility.

Demonstrate ability to foster teamwork and facilitate teams through the encouragement and building of mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

Possess administrative knowledge in order to prepare and maintain reports, budgets, and administrative records as required.

Able to proactively embrace and champion change.

Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.

Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.

Demonstrate excellent computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.

Education & Work Experience

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent relevant experience.

Five to seven years of relevant professional work experience.

Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
