Responsible for analyzing loan requests for general consumer loans and automotive sales following the policies and procedures established within the Bank’s Statement of Credit Policy and will be evaluated on performance metrics based on the quality of automobile dealer, retail branch and customer interactions and service levels, and overall compliance and risk mitigation activities.
Underwriters direct and indirect loan application requests submitted.
Underwrites loans in conformance with bank defined parameters and regulatory guidelines.
Prepares underwriting decisions for approvals and declines, including a listing of all conditions for approved loans and reasons for declines.
Works in loan system to update information.
Involved in the daily management of the work flow of the loan production office.
Works with team members from sales and processing to ensure proper service levels are met.
Producing explanations/possible solutions for unforeseen loan decisions and conditions to branch and dealer customers.
Loan decisions of 45 to 50 loan files daily and meet or exceed the service level standards.
Accurate completion of all required underwriting worksheets and logs according to the procedural work flows.
(3) plus years experience in consumer lending.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
