Join a group of highly motivated and knowledgeable professionals and become a part of our Communications team. Rhode Island Housing is currently looking for a Communications Director. This position is responsible for all communications, public information, public relations, media relations and marketing activities for Rhode Island Housing. The Communications Director is responsible for promoting effective communication within Rhode Island Housing and among its partners; effectively informing customers and potential customers of the products and programs of Rhode Island Housing while recognizing the diversity of our programs and the state; assuring that Rhode Island Housing operates with the transparency and openness appropriate to an agency charged with operating in the public interest. This position is also responsible for managing the budget, relationship and utilization of various vendors

Minimum eight years high level communications experience in corporate, non-profit and or governmental settings including experience dealing with the media.; demonstrated skill, knowledge and experience in the design, execution and measurement of effectiveness of strategic marketing, communications and public relations activities; strong writing, editing, budgeting and computer skills; excellent interpersonal and communications skills; must be a highly ethical person with sound judgment and strong decision making skills; must have strong supervisory skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team; and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-project environment; Bachelors degree in marketing or related field (Masters degree preferred).
