Basic Purpose Provide nonfood compounds registration/listing services to customers for compliance with government regulations. Perform all duties required to develop, grow and administer the nonfood compounds registration program. Principal Accountabilities Manage business by responding to inquiries, coordinating marketing and sales activities, attending conferences and writing articles for publication. Select, train, develop, motivate and evaluate a competent workforce. Manage responsibilities of staff. Assure that the business unit meets all corporate and program requirements for QA and QC turnaround times, production and annual budget. Review records, reports, and other documentation, as needed, to substantiate registration/certification for assigned customers. Develop business unit’s annual operating and fiscal plan. Responsible for the completion of business unit’s annual operating plan. Submit monthly/quarterly reports consistent with the authorized operating and fiscal plan. Develop and manage program policies. Provide liaison with stakeholders (e.g. regulatory, industry and trade association representatives) and plan/facilitate stakeholder meetings (e.g. steering/joint committee meetings). Develop business opportunities while controlling expenses and maximizing revenue. Deliver presentations to trade organizations, technical seminars, industry regulators, and user organizations. Coordinate NFC related activities for other business groups with common customers and clients. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, chemistry or related field with laboratory coursework. A minimum of five (5) years experience in the food industry. A minimum of two (2) years supervisory/ leadership experience. Knowledge of food industry, chemical industry and toxicology. Proven business management, budget management and supervisory skills. Ability to be innovative in addressing strategic opportunities for the business. Public speaking and meeting facilitation experience. Ability to take leadership in the stakeholder joint committee process. Willingness and ability to travel. Proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Oracle-based applications, etc. Strong organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree, e.g., Masters degree in business or the sciences. Extensive knowledge of NSF policies and services
Additional Details Physical Demand:
Required to sit for long periods of time.\ Moderate physical effort required (ability to move 40 lbs. from one area to another). Ability to travel by car or plane. Work Environment:
Most work is performed in an office environment. Some work may be performed off site at client locations, trade shows, conferences, etc. Domestic and international travel is necessary. Smoke free work environment.
