Graduate Intern, Compilers
Intel Compiler Lab has an exciting fall internship opportunity for working on leading edge compiler and development tools. Behavioral traits for this position include: strong written, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to work together as a team and cooperate fully with the project leader. In this position, you will be working on compiler optimizations, runtime libraries, testing and performance analysis of HPC applications, targeting current and future generations of MIC (Many Integrated Core) architecture. This will involve:
debuggers, performance tuning, scalability analysis, etc.)

Minimum skills and experience:
You should have finished a year of graduate school in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, with a firm understanding of software engineering and system software, especially compilers. Working towards a Ph.D. doing research in parallel programming or computer architecture is preferred.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Candidate must have 1+ years of work or educational experience in the following areas:
- Proficiency in C and C++
- Knowledge of compiler optimizations, CPU architecture, IA32 and Intel 64 ISA
- Experience working in the Linux* and Windows* build environments would be an added advantage
- Prior industry experience, including prior summer internships would be an added advantage
