Asset Management Analyst Program Manager Job Description (Vice President)

With client assets under supervision of $2.0 trillion and assets under management of $1.3 trillion, J.P.Morgan Asset Management (AM) is one of the largest asset and wealth managers in the world. We serve four distinct client groups globally through two businesses: institutional and retail clients through J.P.Morgan Asset Management (GIM), and high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients through Global Wealth Management (GWM), which includes the Private Bank and J.P.Morgan Securities. Asset Management Analyst Program Overview

The three-year non-rotational analyst program provides exposure to multiple business areas within Asset Management and analysts join either the Private Bank (Integrated team or Product/Solutions) or Investment Management (product groups in Equity, Fixed Income, Real Assets, Hedge Funds or one of our sales channels in Funds Management or Institutional Sales).

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for management of entirety of 3 year Analyst Program across the United States including but not limited to:

Performance Management

Compensation Process

Promotion Process

On-going training and development

Internal mobility

Create and execute training program for Asset Management wide Analyst Training Program, including, but not limited to:

Curriculum / Content Creation

Budget management

Vendor management

Development and Coaching of new hires

Event facilitation

Adjustments based on feedback from both analysts and managers to ensure top quality content

Partner with Campus Recruiting and Finance for full-time and summer intern hiring, including, but not limited to:

  • Helping to determine and establish annual summer intern, Analyst and Associate hiring targets
  • Ensure successful execution of on-campus recruiting goals
  • Participate in recruitment process (interviews, assessment days, marketing to candidates, etc.)
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for Analyst Manager communication that provide consistency - emails, monthly meetings, one-on-one discussions
  • Partner with Analyst Managers to ensure consistent Analyst growth and development
  • Partner with Analyst Managers and key stakeholders (including the Strategic Analyst Council and Global Analyst Council) to ensure structure and direction of program is in line with business goals
  • Partner with Analyst Managers, key stakeholders (including the Strategic Analyst Council and Global Analyst Council) to implement change through region
  • Complete ad-hoc requests, primarily around data and reports
  • Work with HR Business Partners and Employee Relations to address Analyst issues
  • Manage Global Analyst Council subcommittees
Qualifications

Skills / Competencies Required:
Strong interest in working with and developing junior talent

Understanding of the Asset Management business preferred with strong interest in partnering with the business

Ability to work and partner effectively with Senior Management

Ability to establish, maintain, and influence strong internal and external relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong public speaking and presentation skills

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects

Strong organizational and planning abilities; ability to multi-task

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Strategic thinker with strong analytic skills

Ability to provide coaching and deliver feedback

Proven data management capabilities

Strong problem solving and decision making skills

Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access
