In cooperation and conjunction with the nurse manager, coordinates and plans unit activities impacting on patient care delivery; holds staff accountable for identification, evaluation, documentation and appropriate intervention of patient needs to ensure quality patient care. Plans for, delivers, documents and evaluates quality nursing care of patients in conformance with approved and recognized nursing standards of care, recognized nursing technique and procedures, and administrative policy.
Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service program.
Job Qualifications (required):
Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
Current registered nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
A. A thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including the basic knowledge related to nursing such as biological, physical, psychosocial, and medical sciences and their applications
B. A thorough knowledge of the use and care of instruments, equipment and supplies related to nursing service
C. A thorough knowledge of the theory and principles of medical asepsis
D. The ability to maintain positive working relations with other employees and medical staff
A high degree of physical coordination and finger-hand dexterity
One year of experience as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrates clinical expertise
Demonstrates skills in communication, delegation and problem solving

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
