Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center (VBPC) is a 100-bed freestanding
hospital offering acute psychiatric and substance abuse services for
adults 18 years and older, as well as acute psychiatric services for
children ages 3-11 and adolescents, 12-17. The hospital is accessible
24 hours a day for admissions, and includes mental health assessments
and referral network. Treatment programs and specialty services at
VBPC include substance abuse, dual diagnosis / rapid stabilization,
and partial hospitalization.
Virginia Beach Psychiatric
Center currently has a (Service Representative – Full –
Time and PRN) positions available. The candidate selected will be
responsible for the following:
inquiries from mental health professionals and/or clients attempting
to access information about or arrange mental health treatment.
Provides referral information for "information
only" calls. Directs other calls to appropriate resource or an
Assessment & Referral Counselor.
Completes data entry
of inquiry calls, biopsychosocial assessments and marketing data.
Assists admissions department with admissions data entry and morning
Hours: 7 pm - 11 pm and 11pm - 7 am
shifts including weekends and some holidays
The following are the job requirements for the
(Service Representative – Full – Time and PRN) position:
Undergraduate degree in health related field, education,
recreation, psychology or social services OR Associate degree in
education, recreation, psychology or related field and three or more
years direct care experience in education, recreation,
juvenile/domestic relations or psychiatric care working with
children, adolescents, or adults required. OR RNA/LPNA or High School
degree or equivalent and five years direct care experience in
education, recreation, juvenile/domestic relations or psychiatric
care working with children, adolescents, or adults required.
Must possess data entry skills and be familiar with Microsoft
One year direct care experience preferred for
undergraduate degree prepared bearer or graduate of an accredited
school of nursing; three or more years direct care experience
required for associate degree bearer; five or more years direct care
experience for high school diploma bearer.
