Description

Our Farm Service Group (FSG) sells crop inputs to our farmer customers, which includes chemicals, seed, and fertilizer. This Customer Service Representative position is responsible for many accounting related activities for our crop inputs business. The position is located in Bloomington, MN and reports to the Accounting Supervisor. It services two crop inputs locations in New Sharon, IA and Marna, MN. Primary responsibilities include processing all invoicing & accounts receivable activities, being the local credit analyst & helping establish credit for customers, monitoring customers against their credit limit, as well as month end responsibilities and other related duties. This position will also be the FSGs HR Administrator. There will be interaction with customers, farm marketers, operations, and leadership team members.

Principle Accountabilities

40%

Accounts Receivable:
Invoice customers for product received, monitor for past due and over credit limits, and deposit checks as received.

20%

Credit Monitoring:
Work with farm marketers to complete assessment forms, manage all paperwork for credit programs, document payment history, as well as monitoring the proper approval process per the credit policy in a timely manner for all customers.

15%

Truck Grain Settlements:
Assist grain settlement CSR’s in completing accounting transactions to ensure timely, accurate processing of payments to farmer and co-op customers and invoices to end users.

Other Related Duties:
Month end accounting tasks, balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring reports for accuracy, provide reports to leadership team members as needed, other duties as assigned.

FSG Human Resources Administrator Backup:
Help managers within the FSG post jobs and process employee changes in PeopleSoft. On-board new employees¸ process I/T requests for new and existing employees, such as employee setup, computers, and system access. Submit Kronos/payroll weekly¸ participate in monthly HR Administrator conference calls; respond to employee HR questions within the FSG, or refer them to the appropriate resource; help setup benefit enrollment meetings annually during sign-up. Provide feedback to Manager and Minneapolis HR Team¸ complete annual AAP reporting.

Qualifications

Required:
Associate's Degree in Accounting or 2+ years of Accounting experience.

Proven ability to work independently and as a team

Demonstrated communication and listening skills

Exhibits strong attention to detail. Proven ability to work accurately, and consistently execute complex and detailed processes and procedures in a timely manner

Proven ability to see confidential information and keep private

Demonstrated problem solving skills, and sense of ownership

Strong PC skills

Ability to travel approximately 5%

Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Familiar with Agronomy knowledge and production agriculture

Ability to accept change in a positive manner

Proven ability to work across all levels of the organization

Customer service skills associated with billing, invoicing, and collection.
