This position is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan with Advanced Vision Research, a division of Akorn Corporate Brand andis a premier over-the-counter ophthalmic company that develops and markets eye care products.

The Director, Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing strategy to drive growth, build brand equity and generate acceptable long term ROI. This position will lead and direct all marketing activities including marketing, strategic planning, pricing, forecasting, advertising and promotions, packaging , budget management, financial analysis and project management. Will also lead global strategy development, implement marketing initiatives, new product roll-outs and identify strong consumer and professional messaging.

The ideal candidate should have the following education and experience:

Degree in Business Administration, preferably MBA, preferably with major or specialization in Marketing or Product Management
·
Minimum of 5-7 years experience within OTC Pharmaceuticals.
·
Minimum of 5-7 years of marketing experience in brand/product management, with extensive experience in direct to consumer advertising, market research, new product commercialization.
·
Experience working globally
Candidates should also have a strong understanding of the OTC industry and marketing to consumers and professionals. Must have excellent communication skills and have demonstrated the ability to work with key opinion leaders in a science-driven related field. This position will require some travel.
