PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Supports FMCNA's mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Adheres to the FMCNA Compliance Program, including following all regulatory and FMS policy requirements. Directs the planning, implementation and execution of FMS home therapy staff level training programs within a division including Home Therapies clinical practice, quality, and customer service to ensure optimal and effective attainment of corporate goals, policies and procedures using principles of adult education. DUTIES / ACTIVITIES: CUSTOMER SERVICE: Responsible for driving the FMS culture though customer service standards. Accountable for outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers. Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication with all customers. Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Directs the planning, development, implementation and standardization of education/training processes and systems for all home therapy direct patient care personnel in the areas of clinical practice, clinical quality, business practice and customer service utilizing principles of adult education to support the delivery of high quality patient care per company and industry standards. -Develops and implements standardized home therapy training programs ensuring consistency across Divisions to ensure FMS policies, procedures and standards are consistently incorporated into facility practice. Collaborates with peers in other Divisions as directed by VP Education. -Drives FMS quality standards through the education/training of all ESRD related regulatory and legal requirements and the practice of Quality Assurance and Improvement/Continuous Quality Improvement related to Home Therapies (HT). Supports home therapy-specific and regional quality goals and action plans, in order to achieve FMS quality standards. -Ensures all FMS business policies, processes, procedures and systems are incorporated into training programs for HT including compliance with ethical business practices and all FMS risk management initiatives. -Evaluates HT education/training programs to ensure optimal and effective attainment of corporate goals, policies and procedures while adhering to the FMCNA Compliance Program and all regulatory and company policy requirements. -Collaborates with the Vice Presidents of Education and Division operational leaders in the development of HT training programs and processes. -Participates in new curriculum development for HT as needed and the piloting of developmental training regarding the practice of the HT nurses, for example, development of critical think skills to troubleshoot issues within the HT environment. Analyzes outcomes from data collection and auditing activities to aid in the development of HT education and training programs as appropriate. Collaborates with other educators (Div Director Ed, RDE's or Education Coordinators) as needed to identify, assess, and discuss home therapies issues that would benefit from the development and deployment of a new Educational initiative. Develops and supports ongoing personnel competency evaluations /examinations for the HT modalities to ensure continuous strong performance and high quality of care. Responsible for overseeing education regarding the integrity of medical records and other FMS administrative and operational records. Directs education and training regarding environmental integrity and safety of water systems within the home environment. Provides information to HT managers regarding corporate management and leadership developmental training programs as appropriate. Provides coaching and developmental support to all new home therapies managers. Contributes to the HT related aspects of the orientation and training of new divisional management support personnel. Leads regularly scheduled communication sessions with home therapies and operations management and staff to receive feedback, address questions/concerns, improve education/training efforts, and ensure consistency. Provides oversight, guidance and support of the home therapies preceptor education program to ensure successful training and education and compliance with company standards. Provides input on the selection of Education Coordinators to support HT and selection of Preceptors within the HT. Maintains current knowledge regarding community and regional healthcare market and industry issues which may impact the business. Maintains knowledge of company products, services, and strategies in support of UltraCare. Maintains Department budget to meet or exceed budget goals. Assists in the development of educators in the art of Leadership, Adult Learning and Change Management. Responsible for the development of the individual educators assigned to train staff in Home Therapies providing coaching as needed. May educate on the FMS Staffing and Medical Supply Models, and any other HT related FMS business initiatives as appropriate. Supports the implementation of action plans to correct HT programs and clinics below threshold performance. Participates in FMS, International and Division specific employee satisfaction and recognition programs. Other duties as assigned.

The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Nursing required, Bachelors preferred. Certified in Nephrology Specialty Certified in FMS Adult Learning 1 and 2 EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: At least 5 years' experience as an RN in the field of nephrology Experience in Educational leadership an advantage. Demonstrated leadership competencies and skills for the position, including excellent communication, customer service, continuous quality improvement, relationship development, results orientation, team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making. Demonstrated management skills necessary to provide leadership in the education of dialysis managers and personnel and to ensure the delivery of maximum quality care to all patients. Must complete FMS Management and Leadership training modules and ongoing training and development programs within the specified time line.
