JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required; two years experience operating a variety of heavy and medium equipment, grounds maintenance, landscaping, and/or light construction; equipment school certification preferred; Operation of heavy equipment, hand and power tools and service vehicles; Current lawn, landscape, and horticultural methods and associated requirements; Construction methods and safety practices; Occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in operation of heavy equipment, hand and power tools, and general building and grounds maintenance work; Valid Idaho Drivers’ license and a Valid CDL Class A license is required; Ability to operate and use maintenance grounds keeping and landscaping motorized equipment; Operates a variety of hand tools and power tools, including, but not limited to , sledge hammers, picks, air compressors, chainsaws, air hammers, welders, jacks, aerators, fertilizer spreaders, and other related equipment; Maintains District lawns and landscaping, including mowing, fertilizing, rimming, planting, removing sod and pest control; Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incumbent installs, maintains and repairs outdoor apparatus and properties using a variety of medium to heavy equipment and hand tools; performs related work as required.
