Eaton's Hydraulics Group is looking for a Lead HR Generalist to support its Group Headquarters. Located in the Twin Cities suburb of Eden Prairie MN, this position will provide HR leadership, establish solid business partnerships and drive functional excellence. Specific responsibilities include staffing, employee relations, compensation, training, organizational development, and development and execution of HR programs and initiatives for the HQ campus and assigned business groups.
Essential Functions Include:
-Work with group leadership, functional & divisional leaders, and HR manager, to align HR programs and initiatives with business objectives. Work collaboratively across the HR function to drive unified site plans that support Campus and Group initiatives and objectives.
-Work with managers to assess talent needs. Build capability in the organization through proactive and robust performance management and development planning at all levels through APEX. Participate in Organizational Capability Analysis and execution of related action plans.
-Ensure that positions are filled quickly with the best talent. Work with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to requisition, source, and select candidates. Work through the offer phase and the on-boarding process for new hires. Champions university relations and Eaton development programs.
-Establish and conduct community relations activities related to recruitment, employee relations, and community involvement. Participate in the local Community Action Team.
-Track key HR metrics in accordance with site and division key business objectives. Benchmark industry and local best practices to set stretch performance targets. Support site human resources development and training programs including development, execution, and tracking.
-Drive positive employee relations through development and application of policies, practices and programs that drive employee involvement and ownership. Effectively counsel managers.
-Assure compliance of human resources activities with applicable federal, state, and company specifications, laws and requirements including equal employment opportunity and the affirmative action program. Support Eden Prairie employees’ and visitors’ Visa and Immigration applications in conjunction with legal counsel.
-Participates in the management of compensation and benefits: including salary administration, proposing merit adjustments, participating in surveys, and conducting compensation analysis.
-Proactively works with Facility Manager and HR Administrator to support safety programs, worker’s compensation, disability and FMLA administration.
-Support projects for the campus as well as the Hydraulics Business with data analytics. Present the findings supported by the data to groups of senior leaders for review
•MBA or Master’s degree
•5 years combined experience in OD, ER, or as an HR generalist position
•2 years’ experience managing people
•2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
•Proficiency in computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications. Well-versed in Org Plus and Oracle HR. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills. Able to compile large amounts of data for use in decision making analysis quickly.
•Ability to drive results working in a matrixed environment. Managerial courage with good conflict resolution and negotiation skills
