Cargill Grain & Oilseed Supply Chain consists of 12 businesses that operate on an integrated global basis. We source, trade, process and distribute grain and oilseeds. The main bulk products handled are wheat, corn, oilseeds, barley and sorghum, as well as vegetable oils, meals and ethanol. Grain & Oilseeds Supply Chain Americas Marketing Group (AMG) is seeking a Merchant Assistant to join their team.
In this position you will input contract information, process positions and sales reports, manage future transactions, manage purchase contract nominations, manage contract applications, and assist merchant advisor in resolving FTS related issues. Responsibilities: Input BU purchase contracts and selected customer sales contract to accurate document trading transactions by origination and marketing departments. Input BU purchase amendments and selected customers purchase amendments. Prepare and communicate daily BU position reports.
Compare Administration report with WUT accounting report and advice and resolve any issues between the two. Confirm daily position to accounting/controllership. Administrate BU future orders transactions (hedges, exchanges, banks) to include input in LYNX, FTS, and consolidation report in the evening. Identify purchase contracts for nominations as requested by Forwarding and Origination departments.
Process overfills and under fills in conjunction with suppliers and Forwarding Department, to include overfill price settlement. Update old and prepare new administrative team procedures. Assist Merchant Advisor as required.Skills: Required: Bachelors? Degree Bilingual (speak/read/write at professional level) English / Spanish Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, visual basic, etc...)Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in (Finance, International Business or Business Administration)
