The Database Administrator should be skilled in all DBA-related tasks such as DB monitoring, alerts, backups & restores, DB refreshes/copies, scripting, and resolving issues/outages. The Database Administrator will be supporting all environments (QA, Staging, & Production) for sustainment and stability efforts related to Fleet One’s SDLC across our entire database infrastructure.

This Database Administrator should work independently within a team, receiving general direction with periodic work product reviews. Ability to operate in a fast-paced project environment and be flexible in that environment. The work may include a significant amount of after-hours support.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree with at least seven or more years of industry experience required in information systems and five or more years of experience in database administration or related disciplines or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Requirements:
Responsible for ensuring availability and performance of the databases that support our systems.

Work to ensure that associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and to ensure high resilience and performance tuning in order to provide 7/24/365 availability.

Plan and implement disaster recovery processes.

To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime.

Responsible for planning and implementing DB backups and restores (MS SQL, MySql).

Analyze databases to optimize and tune for performance and database modeling.

Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.

Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL and Data Warehouse development.

Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollouts and upgrades.

Responsible for implementation and release of database changes according to Fleet One’s SDLC.

Create TSQL, triggers, stored procedures and functions.

Documentation for internal and external audits.

Qualifications:
In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience (MCTS, MCITP or MCDBA Certification)

Experience of managing multiple MS SQL 2005 & 2008 RDBMS

Knowledge and experience in SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, DTS, BI and ETL.

Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on database projects.

Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.

Experience of Transactional SQL, and DTS stored procedures.

Practical experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security.

Able to prioritize and execute assigned tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Technical documentation skills

Excellent communication skills

Strong team player

Preferences:
Experience in implementing Business Intelligence Infrastructure

Knowledge in DHCP, DNS, and working knowledge of TCP/IP.

Experience with web technology (HTTP, FTP, SMTP, WS, and WCF, XML)

Fluent English skills
