BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER Loudoun County Government -

The Department of Economic Development is looking for three talented, highly-motivated individuals to serve as Business Development Managers in a can-do team environment. Loudoun is the second fastest growing County in the United States. This position requires an economic development professional with knowledge and expertise in all areas of economic development; a diplomatic and creative problem solver who works with civic and business leaders; a knowledgeable marketing professional who has initiative and understands the needs of businesses and the resources available for addressing those needs. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, exhibit strong leadership skills in politically sensitive environments and the ability to adjust to a variety of situations in a fast paced environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master's degree in business, public administration, marketing, communications, real estate, science/technology/engineering or related field, and a minimum of two years of related professional business development experience. Strongly prefer two years of experience in the information communication technology, federal government contracting, or one of other business cluster targets. Project management experience a plus.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Early morning, evening and weekend work is required for special events and meetings. Travel is required.
