Role Purpose

To ensure prompt and efficient access to hospital care, by providing exceptional service to customers during the registration experience. Create a customer focused environment through effective communication with patients and guests. Accurately collect reimbursement information for clinical care and reimbursement. Ensure the department runs smoothly in the absence of the Supervisor / Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures excellent internal and external customer satisfaction through, clear, caring, and professional communication with patients, families, and employees.
  • Registers out-patient and in-patients in an accurate and timely manner. Is cross-trained in all aspects of registration and is a resource to front line staff.
  • Assist with staffing and schedule changes.
  • Contributes to efficient daily operation of the department by assisting with staffing and answering employee questions.
  • Reinforces training and ensures updates regarding changes to procedures including communicate to staff. Performs quality audits and reports to leadership.
