The Raytheon IDS Quality organization assures that functional products are delivered to the program areas using quality and effectiveness throughout the product life cycle. Our goal is to establish, oversee and coordinate quality policy and practices ensuring alignment to Raytheon and IDS and enabling Mission Assurance

Program Supplier Quality Manager

The Program Supplier Quality Manager (PSQM) serves as the interface between the program and the Supplier Quality Management organization. The PSQM is responsible for managing the Supplier IPT’s (SIPT) focused effort to detect, contain, correct and prevent supplier quality escapes. The result of the PSQM's work should be measured by the presence of detailed planning for preventative supplier quality activities, as well as in the PSQM’s ability to manage reactive issues such as MRBs, supplier escapes or floor failures.

Examples of the PSQM’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Interprets the quality notes and quality requirements to ensure subcontractor/supplier understanding
  • Assesses subcontractor/supplier quality capabilities throughout the program life cycle to achieve full program objectives
  • In conjunction with the SIPT, ensures the subcontractor/supplier has the capability to perform as required to achieve program objectives

Identifies and resolves quality issues throughout the program life cycle, including partnering with the subcontractor/supplier to identify potential solutions and improvements

Supports the subcontractor/supplier risk and opportunity management program, including leading the SIPT in the response on risks and opportunities associated with quality issues

Drives development of proactive supplier quality management plan with ISC & MAQS teammates
·
Manages execution of supplier quality management plans with field SQMs and critical suppliers
·
Helps to ensure programs meet customer / end user objectives for Mission Assurance and ensure NoDoubt TM expectations

Works closely with other Quality functions and Cross Business Teams (CBTs), to affect rapid closure of issues utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills

Succeeds in a Results Based Culture using analytical methods for process improvement
Basic Qualifications:
·


8 years experience in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations discipline
·
Analytical skills in root cause analysis, corrective / preventive actions
·
Lean/Six Sigma experience or other contemporary methodologies and tools for continuous improvement
·
BS Engineering / Technical or equivalent
Desired Qualifications:
·


Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, CMMI and Mission Assurance Provisions
·
Experience in a Lead or Program Management capacity
·
Experience leading/managing suppliers/subcontractors
·
Strong Planning, Facilitating and Team-coordination skills
·
Statistical Process Control knowledge, including implementation
·
Experience generating, reviewing , and/or implementing policies and procedures, work instructions and testing procedures
·
Experience leading supplier improvement projects
·
MS Engineering / Technical or MBA
·
Strong written and verbal communication skills
·
Knowledge of core Quality sciences
Ability to obtain secret clearance
Abiltity to influence and strong leadership presence
