Maintenance Mechanic, B/E Aerospace

The ideal candidate will possess solid manufacturing skills, thrive in a fast-paced business environment, and have a strong understanding of business disciplines including the ability to apply well-defined work techniques and procedures in day-to-day activities. This position will be a critical team member supporting multiple activities.
Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of manual tasks to maintain and repair shop machinery/equipment and physical facility in order to maintain equipment and work environment in safe operational condition and to assist in division compliance with federal, state and local safety regulations
Maintain shop equipment in operational conditions; troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary in order to maintain safety and a production at established levels.
Examines and determines operational problems with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery; repair machinery to operational, safe status; may contact vendor to repair or assist in repair in repair of equipment to reduce down time and maintain projected productivity levels.
Maintains and repairs physical facility and equipment including HVAC, plumbing and electrical wiring to assure safety, health and comfort or employees, and to assure cost-effectiveness of maintenance.
Participates in moving, installing and/or setting-up equipment, furniture, etc., as required.
Assists in treating, replacing/removing caustic chemicals used in productions processes.
Perform leadership activities in absence of Maintenance Supervisor.
Participate in trash removal and removal of aluminum chips/scraps, and in special projects as required.
8. Performs other related duties as required or as assigned.
Vocational or trade school education or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Ability to proficiently operate equipment used. (see below).
