Baystate Medical Center is the Western Campus of Tufts University School of Medicine, has the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region and the only neonatal and pediatric intensive care units.
The incumbent in this position provides extensive administrative support and secretarial support to manager(s) and/or department. Often operates independently to provide general administrative support to the department by efficiently executing office procedures and process to meet business objectives. Oversees calendars,schedules appointments and prepares materialsas need by the Clinical and Rehab Managers. Schedules meetings, conference rooms and makes travel arrangements as necessary.Completes a variety of complex analyses,spreadheets, reports and databases. Answers telephone calls in a professional courteous manner; takes and delivers accurate messages. Monitors and tracks projects and provides status on progress to established timetables.Performs difficult data and/or information gathering, at times involving computation of complex calculations. Composes, modifies, and proofreads correspondence, reports, spreadsheets or presentations from rough drafts for review by management. Interacts with a wide variety of homecare, medical staff and others in a professional and efficient manner. Keep track of union accruals per union contract. Prepare report for clinical and rehab manager on clinical point system and maintain records in relationship to productivity.
High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred. 2 years office or practice experience, customer service and telephone skills. Word processing, spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook . Knowledge of CIS, Peoplesoft, STaples, Lawson, Kronos and telephony. Requires advanced use of personal computer and software. Strong organizational skills.
Fullt-ime 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday -8:00 am - 4:00 pm. periodic weekends and holidays
