The Vice President in this role will create, recommend and implement business development and marketing strategies to drive and expand current and new client relations / business. Will enhance the brand recognition of the Packaging Technology Integrated Solutions (PTIS) services and products. This role supports the sales teams in growing the PTIS business and contributes to sales outcomes. Additional responsibilities:
- Advance existing key growth projects to further business development opportunities within existing portfolio of services/products
- Create and implement business development strategies, provide hands-on support and follow-through on all business development projects
- Draft and design communications to reach clients and potential clients
- Act as SME for Packaging: support and work in conjunction with business leads, marketing, and sales to generate content, create and implement division-specific marketing materials and identify/leverage branding and media opportunities
- Work closely with the business strategy to determine and activate commercial opportunities
- Acquire ongoing marketplace intelligence, research trends and best practices, and leverage internal expertise to lead business development
- Identify and develop business generation opportunities with current and new clients
- Promote the visibility of service and product offerings among existing and prospective clients
- Work with sales lead(s) and business functions to prepare new business presentations and proposals and respond to requests for information and proposals
- Work directly with the sales lead(s) to identify, qualify and develop new business leads and prospects
- Manage and develop the concept design and business case development from initial discussions through to executive approval
- Maintain effective marketplace intelligence and collaborate with other internal resources in connection with current client activity to secure background on competitors and prospective clients
Additional preferred experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field; MBA preferred
- Minimum 10 years' experience in business, working within managed services (B2B), products and/or consulting industries
- Minimum 5 years' business development in sales, strategy and/or marketing
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and working under pressure
- Outstanding verbal/written and presentation skills
- Experience working with international markets
- Packaging industry experience
