The HR Manager reports to and works in partnership with the hospital’s Executive Director of HR to: develop integrated HR solutions that benefit hospital client groups; provide comprehensive, responsive full range HR support to maximize staff engagement, productivity, and efficiency; resolve complex employee relations issues; partner with Talent Acquisition for best hire; and manage a team of 9: 6 HR consultants (HRC) and 3 support staff. The HR manager shares responsibility for department goal and target delivery.
•Excellent consulting/business partner skills – take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
•Significant HR leadership experience in healthcare or professional services organizations.
•Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related academic field.
•Ten or more years of progressive HR generalist experience, with at least five of those years managing professional level HR staff. Able to demonstrate successful resolution of complex employee relations issues and administration of a broad range of HR programs, including leader education, performance management, organizational effectiveness, policy administration, leave management, and compensation.
•Demonstrate the highest level of ethical behavior.
•Work effectively, professionally, and tactfully with hospital’s diverse workforce, team leaders, senior staff and outside entities.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to effectively explain issues, express opinions, ask questions, actively listen and consider alternative ideas.
•Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Lawson knowledge highly preferred.
•HEICS (Hospital Emergency Incident Command System) trained desirable.
