Job Description

Job SummaryResponsible for initial review and editing of all retail power contracts submitted for Legal review on a real-time basis; responsible for initial review and response to all RFP requests that require Legal review; negotiate with potential Constellation retail customers as to the terms of the retail contract; maintain and update retail contract templates; maintain system for storing and retrieval or original and archival documents; conduct due diligence and draft correspondence in response to customer inquiries and complaints; coordinate with Credit Department regarding collections and bankruptcy issues; attend internal meetings to educate, explain, improve and/or create new processes, as required; work with other departments to effect execution of contracts; follow-up with customers and internal personnel regarding contract negotiations and execution as needed; assist with special projects as assigned. Education/ExperienceExperience and knowledge of the energy industry preferred but not required. Skills/Abilities: Excellent legal writing skills and experience with contract negotiations. Strong verbal communication skills are required. Strong organizational and time management skills - ability to organize and prioritize a fast-paced, heavy workload. Computer experience is required with demonstrated ability to work with Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel. Bachelor’s degree; preferably 2+ years legal experience. Competencies 1.
