Job Summary:
The Sr. Test Engineer will be responsible for all aspects related to the manufacturing test of NetApp products at all manufacturing sites. The primary responsibilities include NPI integration and sustaining test support to ensure the manufacturing sites can meet their deliveries of high quality products. The Sr. Test Engineer will support and assist production staff and Contract Manufacturer's Engineers with test related issues to ensure timely resolution and delivery. Essential Functions:
Manage the transfer and set up of new products or new software to manufacturing sites.
Provide training and documentation to our manufacturing sites.
Review and integrate new software releases and develop solid and robust tests
Assist manufacturing sites in debugging complex tests and products issues isolating down to register, test code procedure/function or component level.
Must have strong knowledge of ERP interfaces (Agile/Oracle).
Perform test process gap analysis and drive continuous test improvement
Monitor test yields and pareto
Evaluate and optimize test coverage
Technical liaison with engineering groups for escalating and addressing HW and FW related issues.
Reduce test cycle time by eliminating redundant tests, implementing efficient test code practices including use of threading and script optimization.
Monitor test equipment utilization and ensure that we have the test capacity to meet our customer forecasted demand.
Requirements:
The candidate should be hands-on and familiar with test techniques and methods for a variety of computer, storage and networking hardware types.
Experience in test development, test support and production data collection.
Excellent communication skill, both written and verbal
Strong project management and leadership skill
Ability to work under pressure
Storage background and understanding of RAID or computer architecture is a plus
Software experience in some of the following languages: Java, C++ or C# and knowledge in database design (MySQL) is required

A minimum of 8 years of experience is required; 9 to 11 years of experience is preferred.
Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
