Principal Associate, Branch Communications & Knowledge Management-732958
The Principle Associate develops and implements internal communications for Capital One Bank's Local Distribution Organization. The Principle Associate writes and edits communications that help branch associates support the bank’s overall priorities by helping them perform their responsibilities in a knowledgeable and well-managed manner. Candidates should possess strong writing and editing skills and be able to make recommendations to leaders on appropriate communications approaches.
The Principle Associate updates the internal website accessible to all branch associates. The Principle Associate should be familiar with HTML publishing tools, including SharePoint 2010, to complete core publishing responsibilities and offer process improvement suggestions over time.
The Principle Associate partners with project teams to manage daily branch communications. Collaboration with teams responsible for change management, channel readiness, product development and implementation, operations, and program management is required. The Principle Associate also supports critical and unplanned messaging, including system outages, fraud events, weather alerts, etc.
The Principle Associate partners with key stakeholders (i.e., Compliance, Legal, Policy and Procedure Team) to ensure all messaging is accurate and compliant with banking regulations and policies.
The Principle Associate is seen as a knowledge expert who can provide insight into bank operations to enhance communications and communications channel strategies. This role is also accountable for the business resiliency support function, which can require after-hours and weekend communications support based on critical and unplanned needs that arise.
Previous work in a branch, supporting a branch, or managing a branch-based team is preferred.
Bachelors Degree in related area.
5+ years professional experience in writing and communications.
Experience with SharePoint and other web publishing tools.
Highly effective communication skills with outstanding writing and editing abilities.
Solid experience with online channel delivery strategies.
Ability to build strong relationships across the company.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and change priorities quickly.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
