The position entails the development of high-throughput assays to monitor the activation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) in cell membranes using fluorescence. In many instances the GPCRs will be over-expressed in model cell lines, therefore experience with cell culture and protein expression is essential. Knowledge of basic pharmacology of drug action and high-throughput techniques is also desired. The scope of work is from six months to a year.
