Fund Raising/Sales Director – Youth Market

We have an excellent opportunity for a Fundraising Director, Youth Market in our Hawaii Division serving Western Oahu, the Big Island, part of Honolulu and Kauai. There is a preference for a candidate to live on Oahu as that is where the majority of schools are located.

Director will be responsible for securing schools within the geographic territory to implement Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart , major fundraising initiatives for the American Heart Association as well as other related school based fundraising projects. Director is responsible for a fundraising goal of $405,000 (gross).

To achieve the fundraising goal, the Director will: Prospect and secure participation from schools within the given territory; promote student participation; build strong relationships with volunteers including School Districts, Principals, Teachers and Parent Teacher Associations.

Required Skills

Required Experience

Qualified candidates need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training

2+ years outside sales or fundraising experience with proven track record in meeting/exceeding sales/fundraising goals

Demonstrated ability to accomplish results through volunteer recruitment and management

Basic experience in using computers

Ability to thrive in a results oriented fund raising/sales environment

Demonstrated ability to work independently during irregular working hours

Willing and able to travel extensively within given territory.

Experience and knowledge of school markets a plus
