Kentucky State University College of Business and Computer Science School of Business Frankfort, KY 40601 Position: Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Accounting
The School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track position in Accounting starting August 2014.
Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in Accounting. Teaching graduate courses in the MBA Program is possible. Engaging in the appropriate research and publication efforts to maintain ACBSP Standards for faculty qualification is required. Academic advising, participating in curriculum development, serving on committees, as well as instructional and service related duties as assigned will be required.
Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution. An ABD will be considered if the dissertation is completed by August 2014. Industry experience is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate potential in research, effectiveness in a variety of Accounting courses, as well as meeting AACSB Standards for academically qualified faculty. Additional requirements will include a commitment to technology application in the classroom, collaboration with colleagues, and an enthusiasm for working in an HBCU. Potential in grantsmanship is desired.
