The Software Engineer is responsible for development of key infrastructure and functionality across the entire RunKeeper system. Relevant infrastructure/functionality includes areas such as analytics, coaching, social/community features, device integration, etc. across both mobile devices and the web.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on building of Java-based web applications.
Hands-on building mobile apps (iOS,Android,WP7,etc.)
Writing solid, well-documented code, and rooting out hard-to-find issues to ensure quality.
Learn fast and not be afraid to tackle new technologies.
Thrives in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Experience with an iterative software development methodology.
Requirements:
BS in computer science or engineering or equivalent professional experience
3+ years of experience in Software Engineering
Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
Self-starter who enjoys taking projects from inception to completion
Experience with most of the following: Java, JSPs, AJAX, SQL, Google Maps API, JavaScript, Facebook Connect APIs, OAuth, Eclipse.
